Ruger is comfortable with both male and female handlers and thrives in a home where he is the sole pet, as he craves undivided attention.

Despite his size, Ruger is incredibly gentle and well-mannered. He is housebroken, does not engage in destructive behavior, and can be trusted to roam freely indoors. On walks, he remains calm and non-reactive on a leash. However, his one weakness is fireworks—when they go off, he seeks comfort from his handler.
