5/2/25. Mr. Jay Let me share a little about Jay—he’s an incredibly sweet, cuddly boy who loves to be close to people. While he may bark or seem a bit shy around new dogs or people at first, he warms up quickly. He’s very bonded with our other dog and has been around many dogs during stays at our trusted boarding facility. He’s well-socialized and adjusts well in those settings.

Jay would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention—ideally as the only dog. He loves following his humans everywhere, being part of the daily routine, and soaking up all the attention. He also needs a space where he can run freely and play—especially when he gets the “zoomies.” He’s a playful guy who loves puddles and doesn’t mind getting a little dirty!

He’s crate-trained, listens well, and knows basic commands like “sit” and “stay.” He’s improving on walks, too—while he may pull a bit at first, he tends to settle. We use a no-pull leash for him that works well for him.

Health-wise, our vet has confirmed that Jay is in great shape and fully up to date on his vaccinations. The only special care he needs is some sunscreen when he’s out in the sun (due to his cream coat).

This has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make. It took us months to admit that our current lifestyle—with long work hours and limited time at home—isn’t what Jay deserves. Keeping him crated for extended periods just isn’t fair to him.

We’re hoping to find a family who will love Jay as deeply as we do and give him the happy, active life he deserves. He truly is an incredible companion, and while it’s heartbreaking to let go, we know the right home is out there for him.
