Meet Jasper! He was born on October 19, 2020, and came to a local rescue from Georgia around 2024. Unfortunately, he tested high for heartworm, and the rescue had him for over six months without providing any treatment. When the rescue was closing, they adopted him out, promising the new owners they would cover the heartworm treatment. Sadly, that promise was not kept. The new owners then posted him for free on Facebook without mentioning his heartworm status. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan knew about Jasper and took him in, starting him on the necessary treatment. Now, due to a personal matter, code enforcement has sent her a letter stating that she can only have five animals on her property. Jasper deserves a loving home, and that’s why she reached out to us. He’s such a sweet, calm boy who gets along well with a gentle female dog of similar size. However, he doesn’t get along with cats and is great with kids!
