10/22/25. Lucas is a very high-energy, sweet young boy. A big, overgrown puppy. He definitely needs a big yard to run in and absolutely loves playing kick the ball with his humans. He will drop the ball in front of you so you can pick it up and throw it again and again. He loves his squeaker toys. He's the energizer Doberman! He is not fond of bunnies, lol! The chase is on!

We are working on crate training. If he has toys or a chew (bully stick or bone) to keep him occupied, he won't bark while in the crate! Still working on this.

He's very leery of meeting strangers. He does have a muzzle that he is comfortable wearing if needed. He is very loving to his human family. He prefers the couch or the bed at night!

He does pull on a leash, so he wears his prong collar. He's had a few obedience classes with a trainer, and that should continue. He wears a no-pull harness as well. We have not had him socialized with other dogs yet. Unfortunately, he does not do well with our four cats, and I would not have him around children at this point.

Lucas loves going for truck rides, and baths are fun. He is very young, and with the proper training and the right humans, this boy will be a happy soul.

8/28/25.  Meet LUCAS! This 1.5-year-old gorgeous red dober boy is looking for his forever home. His family was living in a small apartment and felt he would be better suited to a larger place to run and play. LUCAS has lived with small dogs. He would probably do well with another female with proper introduction, but we have not had the opportunity to try that out yet. He needs an adult-only home as he has not been around children. Like the good Doberman that he is, LUCAS forms strong attachments to his family and can be wary of new people coming to his home, so he will need a knowledgeable adopter. If you're looking for a loyal best friend, LUCAS is your boy.
