On 9/22/25, we welcomed Marco, a 7-year-old stray found in Homestead, to DRL. We’ve been trying to catch him for about a month now, but a Good Samaritan finally managed to rescue him with Edgar's help, bringing him to the shelter. No one has claimed him, so he’s safe with us now. He still needs to be neutered, but he’s as sweet as can be. If anyone is interested in fostering or adopting this senior Doberman, please fill out an application!

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL.
