10/4/25. Meet 5-year-old MARCO! This dober gent is absolutely delicious and has already captured the hearts of every volunteer and every person that he meets. He is the epitome of a Velcro Doberman and is just the sweetest, happiest, loving dober boy you could ever cross paths with. He came from MDAS, so not a lot of history is known about him, but you can bet we’ll make sure his story moving forward is epic. He seems to like other dogs. Hurry up and get your apps in for MARCO. This boy is a gem!

On 9/22/25, we welcomed Marco, a 5 year-old stray found in Homestead, to DRL. We’ve been trying to catch him for about a month now, but a Good Samaritan finally managed to rescue him with Edgar's help, bringing him to the shelter. No one has claimed him, so he’s safe with us now. He still needs to be neutered, but he’s as sweet as can be. If anyone is interested in fostering or adopting this senior Doberman, please fill out an application!

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL.
